NEW YORK – Cutting edge research has shown that placing a plastic bag over your head is significantly more effective in reducing the spread of COVID-19 than medical grade face masks. While anecdotal evidence indicates the plastic bags have been linked to asphyxiation and ultimately death, researchers noted “we remain very confident that no one who died of oxygen deprivation contracted COVID-19”.

Interestingly the study also found that wearing masks in addition to a plastic bag over your head did not improve the clinical outcome, as researchers noted that “participants were still dead and remained that way with no COVID-19 symptoms.”

New York City, still reeling from high numbers of nursing home deaths, have mandated the wearing of plastic bags by all nursing home residents. Despite deaths spiralling out of control as a result of the requirement, city officials have been quick to celebrate that none have been caused by COVID-19.
